After scanning a text document using MS Office Document Imaging, it goes
through the OCR process, but the image is not available. Up until 3-4 days
ago, it was available by clicking on an icon that appeared on the taskbar at
the bottom of the screen. Canon Tech Support says the Canon N650U scanner is
working properly. They say the vendor software (MS ODI) is not working. I am
running Windows XP Home Editon and Office XP Small Business version 2002. I
have not made any changes to my system during that time. Twice I have
uninstalled and reinstalled all the software on the Canon scanner CD. When I
use OmniPage Pro 9.0 (included on the Canon scanner CD) to scan an image, it
performs OCR and the text image is available. What do I need to do to get ODI
to work again?
