Let me try this again (more politely);
I have installed Office 2007 on a Dell laptop and while it seemed to be a
successful installation, none of the Office applications will run. They won't
even start or give an error. Nothing happens at all. I've gone through the
event logs and they say that the suite was installed successfully. I've used
the Office Diagnostics tool and it says that there are no problems to report.
I have checked the file associations and they correctly point to the specific
Office 2007 applications. I have tried running the apps directly from the
exe's in the directory as well as the start menu. I am continuing to search
the web for similar scenarios but have found nothing so far.
I am running out of options and will probably go back to v2003 once I'm back
home (I am on the road...dumb to upgrade out here I know).
Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
