After text animation, the text disappears

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

Hi, Im using PP 2008. After the slides text animations complete, the text that was
actually being animated disappears. How do i get the text to stay on the
screen till the slide transitions to the next slide?? Help, my presentation
is due Friday!!!
