Downloaded Office updates, SR-1, 2, etc. Now I can't open Outlook or use
Outlook Express address book. Getting error msg's telling me to reinstall
both but when I try to getting other error msg.'s telling me files missing
(mostly . dll's)
that where replaced by updates! Don't know what to do and am very upset.
Never should have updated! Any suggestions.

Post your Outlook version (OE is not a part of Office) and the exact error
messages.

Hi Karen, I have the same problem as I pointed out a couple of days ago. I
was told it was my Norton causing the problem but I have eliminated that and
strangely have had no further response from this "Help Line". (Trade
Description Error).
Like you I regret the Update and have since switched "Automatic Update" off,
I am at a loss as what to do other than make a lot of noise. "They" have us
over a barrel unfortunately as Windows have the monopoly.

You are perfectly free to use any Operating System or Office suite of your
choice. No one held a gun to your head. I prefer Ubuntu currently for my
Linux distribution.
