I see this topic has been discussed before.
Although a dozen languages have grammar support in Office 2004 for some
reason Spanish, probably one of the top 5 languages spoken worldwide,
is missing.
Here's a list of supported languages
http://word.mvps.org/Mac/Languages.html
They have Swedish grammar and not Spanish???
The other bizarre thing is that it's available on Windows Office 2000
and 2003.
Looking in WindowsXP, Office 2003 under
c:/Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/
I see the necessary files, in particular one called
MSGR3ES.LEX
I wonder if it would be possible to convert the windows Spanish Grammar
file to work on the mac version?
I tried copying it in there and changing its name to look like the
Italian and Swedish grammar files, and now it thinks there's a Grammar
file but the "rules" file is missing and so it never seems to find
errors.
There's also a .DLL in an adjacent folder in windows. That's probably
the Rules file.
Why would Microsoft do that?!
Thanks for any suggestions,
Nico
