agonizing connector behavior

somehow i have managed to set a bizarre setting to my entire visio document,
where each time i try to move one end of any connector, the endpoint moves
but the rest of the connector does not! it's as if i am designating a new end
point but the rest of the connector doesn't move until i then select the
invisible path a second time, in which now the line will fill in to the new
endpoint. this probably doesn't make much sense, but i'm trying to describe
this as best as possible....and it is beyond frustrating, pretty much making
any new edits impossible. is there a way to reset to defaul behaviors
anywhere???

is this a problem with the .vsd document or with your visio application, do
others experience this anomoly using a seperate visio application running
your .vsd document ?

that's just it, this is a setting on an individual .vsd document. my other
visio docs behaved like normal or the default behavior. so my workaround was
just to copy the entire diagram into a new window or existing vsd. but it is
more of the principle of the thing, i spent a few annying hours trying to
figure out why the connector was behaving like it was...and just could figure
it out...
