If I enter a % complete value on a task that indicates it's ahead of
schedule, how do I get MS Project to reflect an earlier finish time than
originally expected?
Here's a quick scenario:
Let's assume I'm on a 2-week project with one task and one resource.
Project starts on the first Monday and ends on the 2nd Friday. At the
end of the first week, I enter a status date of Saturday into Project
Information and a % complete of 80% on the task. Theoretically my
project is 3 days ahead of schedule. Is there any way I can get MS
Project to reflect that via leveling?
In the opposite case, where my task is behind schedule, I can use the
Reschedule Work button to push out the task based on the % complete
value I enter.
Thanks in advance for reading this thread.
