Alert PM when assigned work on Task is 80% depleted

I want to set up an Alert in Project Server 2007 so that the Project Manager
and Task Assignee can be warned via email when the Total Work (not just the
fraction allocated to a resource) allocated to a Project Task has been used
up. We use Timesheets for progress updates exclusively.

Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

There is no default way to do this in Project Server 2007. Because of this,
you would need to do custom software development to achieve this goal. Keep
in mind that Project Server 2007 includes pre-configured Events to which you
can attach software code, such as sending the e-mail in question. If you
want to pursue this avenue, I would recommend you repost your question in
the microsoft.public.project.developer newsgroup to allow our developer
friends to guide you to a solution. Hope this helps.
