Alert window while syncing Pocket PC with outlook 2002

I am getting this alert window everytime my pocket pc
syncs with my outlook.

" A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have
stored in outlook. Do you want to allow this?
If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should
choose "No".
Allow access for 1 minute, ..10 minutes (shows up in drop
down box)"

This is happening after my office update. This is really
frustrating me because the alert window hides behind other
windows and until I give it permission it will not sync
and so many times I have taken my PDA without the correct
synced information.

Any workarounds. This should not happen since both are MS
products! or atleast provide for an option which
says "always allow" for activesync to access outlook or
something like that.

What version of ActiveSync?

Well just found out that this is something microsoft has
implemented in office SP2 to prevent unauthorized use of
addresses from its address book......

"if you can't fix a problem, prevent it by making life
miserable for users" - the usual MS policy! I don't know
about viruses 'getting frustrated' with this security fix,
but as a user, I have been successfully frustrated.

I found a program that will auto click the "yes" button

Well, I have Outlook, ActiveSync, and a Pocket PC PDA and I never get that
message. (And I don't use ClickYes.)

It should happen if you use the combination of versions
that I am using - Office XP 2002 with SP3, activesync
3.7.1. Note that Outlook 2003 will not have this problem.
Infact on of the suggestion given somewhere on the MS KB
(not sure though) was to upgrade to 2003! I'm not a
millionaire!

I did not have this problem until I did an Office Update
via the web and after that the alert would pop up. It is
also documented in Microsoft Knowledge base. If you do not
get the alert with my combination...then I do not know
what to say except that MS has done it again.....depends
on the applications 'moods'.

I don't think I had the problem when I used OL 2002 SP3, either, but I can't
swear to it.

That's not really the proper way to handle it. If you're syncing a
PocketPC, make sure you're using ActiveSync V3.7.1, since it honors the
Outlook security model.
