Align text vertically

Jim Dixon

I'm using Pub 2002, and I'm ashamed to admit I can't figure out how to
"Align text vertically" in the text box. Obviously I'm going crazy, 'cause
I'm sure I've used this feature on previous editions of Publisher I've
owned. Please, someone, put me out of my misery (but not before answering
the question, please).

Do you mean changing the text so it reads vertically, or align text to the
top, middle or bottom of the text box?
(The latter is in Right-click > Format Text Box > Text Box)

Are you speaking of the text actually being typed vertical:

V
E
R
T
I
C
A
L

Or do you mean the location in the text box? You can right click on your
text box and go to Format Text Box, choose the Text tab and choose rotate.

You can use WordArt for vertical text as well.
