Aligning a column affects whole table

Hi

I am trying to align one column only in my table to be
right justified but it decides to align all of them.

I have just migrated to XP and have taken off what I
thought were all relevent ticks in my autoformats options
but it doesn't help.

Does anyone know what I should do??

I've experienced this, too, and it is very frustrating and puzzling. I never
have figured out what causes it (though in some cases the tables had been
pasted in from Excel or from the Web); I suspect the table was corrupt. In
any case, in the interest of time (and because the documents were
throwaways, anyway), I found that if I formatted just part of a column and
then the rest, I could do so without affecting the entire table.
