all attachments are being encoded but my setting is for none.

all of a sudden my outlook 2000 is sending out attachment in base 64 encoding
when it is set to "none" in the options/format setting. Why is this
happening? How do I get it to stop?

It is breaking up PDF file and Jpeg files into many separate pieces and
encoding them. Header says base 64. My setting in format is "none"
I am using windows xp, office 2000
