All Commands Option??

Hello I helped a user out with word in teh respect of they
wanted no one to change a document when published... So I
did this with a macro... now he has come back and asked me
the following:

You put me onto the idea of "hijacking" the commands by
writing a macro with the same name as the command. There
was some method of looking-up all the inbuilt command. I
remember going to an "option" and saying "Show
all commands", but can't remember where this function was
stored.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated...
