All data is deleted from my excell sheets

When i started my system today, i found all my excel
sheets are empty and there size is 0 bytes. What could be
the reason ?

One possible reason for the file size changing to 0 bytes is the ExploreZip
worm... see http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/worm.explore.zip.html.
