all email showing as "read" in inbox

I just setup a user to push his email to her Verizon Wireless phone. Per
Verizon, their program opens each message on our exchange server in order to
push it to the phone, therefore, when my user gets a new message on his pc it
shows as read. I was thinking of trying to setup a rule to mark all messages
as unread as they arrive, but it is not an option. Any ideas how we can get
arround this issue????
