All file types not available in Access 97 when importing eternal data

Hello,
I am running both Office 97 and Office Xp on the same
Win2k system. There is an Access 97 database that I need
to import some .txt data into a table. When I try to do
this the txt file time is not available in the dropdown
menu. In the get external data window is a message down
at the bottom that says "Not all file types are installed
by default, you need to run setup to install".
So I run the setup again, Install all for Data options and
it does not solve the problem.

Please help if anyone has a solution. I am wondering if
perhaps this is somehow related to having the 2 office
versions running side by side.
