All info deleted

I have Microsoft Outlook 2000. When I turned on my computer after a power
outage, it ran something I think called a Scan disk to delete corrupt files.
Everything in my computer seems intact except everything in my Outlook is
completely gone, all messages, contacts, everything. I am desperate as I have
files for work in there. Is there anyway I can recover all of this
information? And yes, I will be backing this up from now on! HELP!!!

First run outlook Detect/Repair then;
Within Outlook check properties of Personal Folders for path & name, note
these
Now search to include hidden files for *.pst make a note of these, the
largest pst file will likely be your old data file, possibly named
outlook.pst.
Start Outlook, File>Open>Personal Folders....browse to and select the data
file you found in the search.
A second set of personal folders should now be shown in outlook folder tree
view, which should contain your data.
If that is the case, select that set of Personal Folders, set it as default
msg store, then select the empty set of Personal folders and rt click, close
