All Mails Are Gone. Entourage Creates Cascading (Empty) Folders

So I just got back from a vacation and opened my Entourage wanted to check my work emails.

It did the usual sync thing, but then after a while it didn't seem to end, and I saw that it creates a new folder with no name which contains all other folders. None of those folders has anything in it.

The worst thing is, my usual Inbox folder is now empty. And all my other exchange folders!

I checked the identity file in Microsoft 2004 folder, the database is over 800 MB, meaning my emails are in there somewhere.

I tried checking my work mails on windows desktop at work (through VPN/remote desktop), my Inbox is also empty! Checking the web interface also gives the same.

All my emails are gone due to Entourage syncing isssue? Is that what it is?

That sounds like an identity corruption...
Are the e-mails on OWA??
You might want to do two things:
Launch Entourage pressing the Option key down to rebuild your identity.
Be aware that you will lose the categories in the process,

Yep, they should be.

Well that settles my question about OWA... It looks like a server issue.
A very bad one.....
Ask the administrator if they can restore a backup (they should have
one).

I'm not sure it's Entourage's fault. That sure is not a
typical/common/often reported issue. It really looks like a server
issue.

Do you have a backup of your identity?? If yes, launch it in ENtourage
pressing the shift key down to prevent it from connecting to the network
(Entourage would sync, and the server would make it delete all e-mails
in the Exchange cache to match the current status).
From there, you could copy all e-mails, contacts, etc to the On My
Computer section, then export to ann Entourage archive and use it in
your recent identity.
