All Microsoft Office 2007 programs crash

All of the programs of Microsoft Office 2007 are crashing for me, except
Outlook. I do not use it on this computer, but I trust Outlook would do the
same thing if I were.

I should mention that the icons for Office Word 2007 and Office Excel 2007
do nothing at all. That was another problem, but not of grave concern as I
can get them to open with Microsoft Works Task Launcher.

I'll use Microsoft Word for example, as I use it the most. I load it, and
begin working. After a few second, it feezes and I receive the message
"Microsoft has stopped working, looking for solution". It then closes, or I
get a message asking me to confirm that it stopped working and it then closes.

Like I said, it does this will as programs. Excel is even worse; it normally
crashes the moment you open it, whereas Word you have a few seconds.

It also happens if I try and do certain things, like change the font.

Yesterday, it would ask me if I wanted to submit an error report when it
crashed. I did, many times, hoping something would happen. Something did and
it asked me if I wanted to run a diagnostic test on Office to see what the
problem was. It came up empty; no solution found.

If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it asked me if I wanted to after I submitted a bunch of error reports.
It couldn't find anything wrong with it.

The next time an Office component, eg Word crashes
Look in Event Viewer (Administrative Tools) for the error msg given by the
crash, and post that err msg

I will check this out as soon as my computer will let me. It is running a
scan. I will get back with you. Thanks for replying.

Hello, There seems to be a lot of options when viewing the event handler.
When looking at the Application error, it says something about a faulting
module mso.dll. Should I be looking somewhere else? There is also a lot more
details. Should I send that too?

Thanks so much,
Chris

I think this is the error report.

Faulting application wkgdcache.exe, version 9.7.613.0, time stamp
0x466fa1cd, faulting module CAPM3K.DLL, version 0.3.0.0, time stamp
0x3edb4dda, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00004 df4, process id
0xd2c, application start time 0x01c9ef479b17dbb7.

capm3k.dll is a Canon printer driver file. If you have a Canon
printer selected as the default printer in Windows, try selecting
another printer (not a Canon) as the default, and see if the
Office crash problem persists.

ok... im a tech and i think i've solved the problem... at least is seems
solved so far (2 hrs) this is what you need to do:

1) Get 'Magic Jellybean ' (http://tinyurl.com/puruze)here and use it to
find the CD key for microsoft office 2007, copy it to notepad and SAVE
(your computer will restart)

2) got to start>run>regedit

3) Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft

4) Right Click office and export it somewhere safe

5) Delete the office folder

6) Save anything that is open

7) Open Excel or Word and let it go through its process then let the
computer restart

8) After reboot open excel or word again and it will ask you for your
product key so type it in

That's how i fixed it and it seems to be working so far, let me know if
there is any problems!!!
