all my word documents are locked

I've been working on this paper all weekend and came
home to finish it. But to my surprise all my word
documents are locked, a notes comes up by the pg. # and
say this command is not available because the document is
locked for edit. I went to properties, general tab and
the read only field is not checked off, I dont know
what's wrong. Can you help me or tell me where to take
my computer.

I have this problem sometimes as well!
Sorry to seem ignorant, but what do you mean by 'activating' Word????

NO i have not activated word and my computer has two
logins I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=293151. But if you have the problem only
"sometimes," then this is not the issue. Documents can also be locked for
editing if there are temp files still open (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/LockedFiles.htm), and many features
are unavailable if the document is protected for forms.

That was the problem I activated word and now everything
is back to normal, thanks
