All notes lost

After changing the file path of where My Notebook is saved, all my notes and
sections were lost at the next startup of OneNote. And, for some reason,
even though it is set to automatically backup files every day, the backup
files are very old.

Are the files still on my computer somewhere? Why would it do this?

Update: I was able to recover everything but one password protected section.
Does anyone know how I can recover this one section? It doesn't make sense,
why wouldn't it automatically backup that one section?
