All of a sudden, new appts, etc will not save in Outlook. help!

Thanks Diane for your response. I do not get any error message. After I
click save & close it does nothing, the screen does not change at all, it is
just the same, makes no changes. I can save items in my address book using
Outlook but I can not save any new appts or anything at all right now. It
was fine but now it is not. Please explain "resetting the view".
