Recently all of my Office 2003 Icons as well as Quicktime/Itunes, Adobe
Reader and Ad Aware suddenly disappeared and were replaced with generic
icons. When I start an Office program I get the Windows Installer screen,
then the error message:
An error occured and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Please
run Setup and select "Repair..." to restore this application.
After I click OK the program comes up and functions fine. When I try to run
Setup, I get this message:
This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package
exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Patch Package.
I was able to restore the other programs by re-installing them. Would I be
creating more problems, or loose my files, by re-installing Office? Any
help would be appreciated.
