All Tasks suddenly designated as "New" Again?

All,

After viewing several resource's My Tasks page it is clear that all tasks
have suddenly been re-designated as "New". Even old tasks that show to be
100% completed. In addition, some of the tasks no longer have an task history
showing where updates were submitted, accepted and applied. This all happened
shortly after the SP2 and April CU were applied.

Has anyone else seen this?

After doing some footwork I was able to track this issue down to a power
outage and hard crash of the server. It seems to have lost some task records
and when the schedules were published again, after updates, the system
created the tasks as new again when it could not find the original assignment
(my best guess).
