All text box text stuck on vertical orientation??????

I am using Word 2007 aqnd he text inside my text box is stuck on vertical.
All the text box options also have vertical text so it looks like

I can't figure out how to change it back. Using text direction in text box
tools does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
