Hi,

When I installed Office the only language I chose in the proofing tools was English, nothing else. However, whenever I open a template it is in French. Is this normal? I check the box that the software came in it is English, the writing on the install dvd is in English, this doesn't make any sense to me. I have tried reinstalling Office only to get the same result. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Something similar happens here. The Language of all my new files in
Word is set always in French. It may be that your Input method or your
keyboard is french. Word is linked I do not why to the keyboard you
are using. Strange, but this is the way. Hope it helps.

Doesn't sound normal. Is it really French? if you see the words "Lorem
Ipsum" anywhere, then this is just Latin--it is used for placeholder
fake text. Just type over it with your own text.

If that's not it, please say what template and how you open it.

I took a better at the templates and I did see Lorem
Ipsum. I did not realize it was Latin. Thanks for your help. I just never saw anything like that before in Office templates (I have used Windows and Mac versions of Offices) and it was new to me. Thanks again.

{Ah hem...} It actually "isn't" Latin :)
