All the users .. gone..

Hi,
I've got a weird one..

On my test environment, some time durring the Chirstmas period, Project
Server event service stopped working.. since then (or so it appears), all my
useres have disappeared from the Server settings - > Manage Users page. They
are still visible under Site Settings - Users and groups etc.. they are still
visible when I go to manage groups, then select individual group (e.g.
Administrators or Team Members).. they are just not listed when in 'Manage
Users' page.

Consequently, when I try to open a project schedule via Project Prfessioanl
2007 client, it rejects.

Restarting services, resetting IIS and re-runing AD sync changes nothign..
all jobs come through as completed succesfully, yet I can't see my users any
more !??

and all resources are fine and listed, including users who can be assigned
as resources... weird..

Ideas?

Srv: Win 2k3 SP2: .Net 3.0 SP3. MOSS 2007 SP1+Dec 08 CU.
Client: Win XP SP3. MS Project 2007 +Dec 08 CU.

Vaso,

To answer your question about the users not showing up in Manage Users, this
is most likely due to the fact that your user count has gone over 100 users.
Once you have more than 100 users in the system, they will no longer display
in list format under Manager Users. You will have to do a partial string
search in the search field to retrieve users.

thanks Johnahtan,

I see what you mean. tried and if I put % in the search string it lists all
users.

But, doesn't really make sense to me.. I have two other matching
environments (all sync to the same AD group) that show way over 200 user
currently configured when in 'manage users' sans me putting in any characters
in the search string. This used to be like that in test environment as well
for over a year untill a week ago or so.. I haven't changed anything in the
system, no patches or alike either. Just that project server queue services
stoped then I started it again yesterday... Somehow I have a feeling it will
all go back to normal after the server reeboot weekend.. :)

I'm not sure what the difference could be between your environments but at a
certain count of users (I thought it was 100 but it could be more), the list
of usres will disappear and you will have to do searches for them instead.

Thanks, Jonathan
