"I have mutliple users on 1 windows xp Pc in an exchange 2003 environment.
The pc REQUIRES 1 windows username/login. i have set up different profiles
in outlook to distinguish the different users. Each profile requires a
username and password to access their mailbox. my problem is that every
time a user logs in he/she sees the cached inbox mail of the previous user.
i have played around with the offline file settings and still can't seem to
prevent the cached mail from being displayed.
So 2 things;
1. is there something (tool/utility) available to save the usernames on the
outlook login screen? Like a drop down window. the screen only saves the
last user that logged in.
2. is there something that will prevent 1 user from seeing the cached inbox
of the last logged in user?
I realize using the OWA would solve this problem, but because of the
differences between the outlook client and the owa the client is preferred."
Also when someone tried to login using someone else's credentials and fails,
they still see that person's cache mail.
So how can we lock down cached mail? We must keep Outlook/Exchange in the
cache mode. Is it as simple as redirecting mail to a PST vs. a cached OST?
