Hello all,
Once you have an access DB up and running in all its
glory, is it possible to make the data base file run
independantly? Thats to say, will run as its own
application, so that you don't need MS access installed.
(i.e. if i was to create a database for a friends PC that
doesn't have MS Access installed)
Many thanks Gary

You cannot "compile" the application into an executable file. The most you
can do is package it with a run-time version of access. This capability is
not built into standard Access. You need to get the Office Developer's
Edition (or something like that--it varies by Access version).

If you have ACCESS Office Developer edition (2002 and below), or the
Developer Extensions (2003), which allow you to create a "run time" version
of ACCESS on the PC......

no.
