Allocating Resources in Project Server

Dear All,

I am running a Project server pilot in the UK. One of the key uses/requests
is to have groups of teams for different projects and allocate resources
either by hour/day or week and then have the ability to report what resource
is left for the project etc. (Thus replacing a spreadsheet based people
plan). Can anyone out there tell me if this is possible because this is a
cornerstone of what we are trying to achieve. Thanks in advance.

There may be a way. You should look into the Portfolio Analyser. You can
analyse the availability and create a new measurement called remaining
availability ( availablility - work) this will allow you to generate a report
telling you what resource still has availability.

Thanks for the help Marc, I havent really looked at the portfolio analyser
tool but it certainly sounds very interesting.
