Allocating Resources

We use MSPS 2003 and are struggling with the best approach to allocate
resources. An example of what we would like to do is scheudle an item to
complete in a duration of 5 days and within that 5 days a resource has 4
hours of work to complete. Our issue is how do we accurately show the
resource allocated for only 4 hours and not for the full 5 days.

Assign the resource to a task of 4h, but set the units to 10%. This will
pro-rata the effort evenly over 5 days (assuming their working hours are 8hr
per day).
