Allow OneNote subpages to have their own date and time stamp

Each OneNote page can have it's own date and time stamp. It would be equally
useful if each sub page could, at the users option, inset the "master page"
date and time, or allow it's own unique date and time stamp.

.... that works ok, but when you do that it changes the date and/or time of
the master page for that sub-page and any other sup-page. I would like to
date and time stamp each page to maintain a continuous log with those
sub-pages.

Yes, you're right, I hadn't noticed the master page date and time change
also. You will also notice that when you add a subpage, OneNote adds a '1 of
2' page marker at the top right corner of the page. I guess OneNote
considers subpages to be continuations of the main page, thus keeping the
same date and time.

OneNote considers subpages to be part of the parent page, and will inherit
the parent page's timestamp.

However, if you're running SP1, you can insert a new timestamp anywhere on
the page or subpage. Use Insert | Date and Time or the KB shortcut of Alt-
Shift-F.

In a similar light, I created a custom note flag (CTRL+6, in my case) that I
use to add an arrow and highlight the just-inserted time/date stamp. Doesn't
do anything special, but it makes it stand out quite nicely.

This isn't a sexy solution to the original post, but it goes along with the
notion that the subpages are a continuation of the parent page.
