Problems with Office 2002
I wish I could completely turn off the feature which tracks changes in
documents, it causes me endless headaches. When I send a document to
somebody they can look at all of the changes I have made to it. In the
business world this is not a desireable thing. We're considering changing
our corporate software because of this unwanted feature which cannot be
turned off.
Another feature which causes me endless headaches is when I send an email
with a word document attached and somebody sends the document back to me I
get asked whether I want to merge the document with the one which is stored
on my hard drive. There is no way to turn this feature off except for each
individual document when it happens. People hit the wrong button all of the
time and before you know it we have to get the IT department involved to
correct now screwed up document.
