"Allow row to break across page" will truncate some content.

If the content of a table cell is more than one page and "Allow row to
break across page" is unchecked in MS WORD 2000, the content over the
cell will not be shown on screen and the printout will be truncated as
well. Any suggestion to get rid of it ?

What solution would you expect? If the cell is not allowed to break, and
there is more content than will fit on one page, what do you expect to
happen? Word 2003 (and perhaps 2002) has an option (Table Properties | Cell
| Options) to "Fit text," which reduces font size to fit, but I don't
believe this option is available in Word 2000. Your only recourse is either
to allow the row to break or split the content into two or more rows.

My boss requested me to approach Microsft on that issue. He want to
know why Microsoft Word just truncate the content and did not display
the remain content on the next page instead. Although this is not
reasonable as this is a choice for a user to uncheck "Allow row to

as mentioned in .docmanagement: due to the table row setting, Word does
neither show nor print the content. You can "get" the very same effect
by fixing the row height to an exact value: you can type away and insert
as much text as you like, once you have more content than fits into the
cell, it will not show nor print it.

"Works as expected" -- I doubt you'll get any other answer by MSFT.
