I'm looking for a STEP-BY-STEP on how to enable server functionality on my PC
so I can best review the appearance of a MS Access enabled FP2003 web without
having to publish to a server site. I have:
- FP2003
- WinXP, SP2
- IIS intalled (no FP Extensions) Have visited "Computer Management," but am
unsure what I'm looking at.
- FPSE 2003 intalled, though don't know how to "start, activate, or enable,"
if required.
- Also have MSSQLServer
Right clicking a FP directory folder and selecting Properties displays the
selection box for "Allow scripts or programs to be run," but it's grayed-out
and I can't see to get it to un-gray. (It's my understanding that's the
feature I need to select in order to get best page previews.)
Variouse FP book authors, etc, seem to skirt this configuration task,
roughly claiming it's off-topic or too complex. It's my opinion that us
folks trying to dive deep into FP are being abandond by those that take that
position.
Thank you very much for your help!
