Allow us Brits to get rid of ENGLISH(US) from word.

It can be totally irritating when spelling errors are indicate because some
documents seem to switch to the American US lexicon even though English UK is
set as default. The answer would be to get rid of this lexicon. After all,
why on earth would an Englishman want to spell check a document using a US
dictionary?

Regardless of how it may seem to you, Word doesn't capriciously change the
language in a document. Provided you have set the default language as
described at http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/LangFmt.htm, you
won't get US English in your document unless you import it by pasting text
from the Web or from another document where the language was different.
Language is a character format that can be applied to as little as a single
character, and the language at the insertion point will always be that of
the preceding character.
