I have a visio business process flow chart set up. I have a shape which
contains text detailing process inputs, outputs and other process
related details.
While I want to keep the formatting of the shape and text I would like
the owners of the Business Process to take responsibility for
editing/updating the content. As these users do not have Visio I
thought linking a word document, located on a server, would be the best
option.
This kinda works. However, some obscure formatting issues arise. I
cannot get a margin between the outline of the object and its text,
even though I have 1cm margins set up in Word AND 5 pt margins set in
the Text Block tab of the Text formatting shape properties.
Whether the object takes on formatting from Word or Visio is unclear -
I dont want to invest time and effort into something which may prove
difficult to maintain.
Has anyone else found a suitable way of deploying a master Visio file
containing content managed by other non-Visio users?
Thanks
