Allowing other programmes to send email

I have a database (not MS-Access) that sends emails to colleagues.
It works fine with Outlook Express, but Outlook 2003 keeps reporting
"A program is trying to send mail using Item.Send"
and slows matters down.

How can I allow my program to send email without this warning?

Very interesting, but nothing that is helpful.
I am not using VB just a very ancient copy of Paradox 7, written with
Objectpal.

What I would like is to be able to turn this security catch off.

You can't. Your only options are what's listed at that URL I provided. Since
the program is old it would have to be rewritten or replaced with code that
complied with the security requirements.

These requirements have been in place since Outlook 2000 SP2, about 5 years
now.

Trust Microsoft to spoil a good system.
Just have to make Outlook Express my default mail system then.

Thanks for your help.

I often send emails from within MYOB Premier Accounting - e.g. invoice copies
- and get the same warning screen.

Is there a way to "register" trusted programs in the Outlook Options / setup
area ?
- e.g. to allow MYOB to use Outlook without this message being displayed ?

Thanks
