Allowing others to see tasks assigned to resources

Good day,

In Microsoft Web Access is there a way that I can set up Resource Managers
to see the tasks assigned to his resources.

Enterprise assigns resources as users in the system. The Manager for those
resources needs to be able to see the tasks assigned to them. I have been
able to let the Manager see the resources but not their tasks.

Can anyone help me out here?? It would be greatly appreciated.

J.C.

Thanks in advance.

Clark,

The view you want is part of the Resources tab and is
called "View Resource Assignments". The Microsoft default
group and category permissions have a peculiar way of
assigning the related permissions.

Resource Managers get the Resource Center view which show
availability. Project Managers get the View Resource
Assignments view which shows all the assignments for each
resource.

The easiest thing for you to do is to also add your
resource managers to the project managers group. Or, if
you are comfortable with changing permissions, open the
resource managers template and check "See Resource
Assignments in Assignment Views" which is in the Views
section. You will then have to reapply the template to the
Resource Managers group.

Hope this helps, Jim

Thanks for the tip Jim.

It kind of gives me what I am looking for. What I really need is for the
Resource Manager to see the tasks a be able to update work, etc.. for the
resources he manages.

So, how can I get these assigned tasks available to him to view under the
Task heading in Web Access.

If you can help, I would appreciate it.

JC
