allowing several users to enter data simultaneously

As a novice - but enjoying learning - seeking input on the development of a
database.

The database and 'data' entry form are to capture 'enquiry and support
information ' type data and is part developed - I can I think complete this
part. What I need to be able to do is allow up to 5 users to be able to
input data simultanelously. The database will sit on a drive/server
accessible by all users.

Any information to assist would be appreciated - there is a wealth of
knowledge out there and as a novice need a 'simple' answer.

May I say this forum is very helpful for the 'programme illiterates' like me
