I have included a link from the Likno web site that tells about integrating
the AWM with a FrontPage web.
http://www.likno.com/frontpage.html To answer
your question " If I turn on bottom shared boarders for one or two pages
will the AWM menu appear in all pages anyway?" The answer is no.The only
pages that will have the menu is the ones that have the "Bottom shared
boarder" turned on. Again.......that is where the code for the menu is. If
you do not use the AWM to integrate with the FrontPage menu structure the
code will be placed in each of the pages that you select when "Compiling"
the menu. Another point I want to be clear on is the fact that just because
the code for the menu is in the (Bottom)boarder has no relevance on where
the menu appears on the web page it's self. When you ask " In what step do
you tell AWM where to put the menu? " if you are talking about the code
there is no step if you choose to integrate the menu with the FrontPage
add-in of AWM. It automatically puts the code in the bottom boarder. If you
are talking about how to tell AWM where you want the menu placed on your
pages that is done with the "Positioning" properties in AWM editor under
"Global Properties". It will allow you to put the menu on the top left, top
right just to name a few options. You can also tell it to have the menu be 3
pixels down from the top of your page and 3 pixels over from the left side
of the page or any number that suits your needs.
I hope I didn't go over board with this. I know how I was when I first
started using AWM. It is a great program for making menus and it is very
versatile. But.....it takes some work to learn. A whole lot less work though
than coding your own menu!
I would be interested in knowing the version of AWM that you are using. It
helps me know what version to look at when posting answers to questions.
Thanks
Jeff
