Alpha-Numeric Numbering

Hi,

I wish to number requirements in the following manner
Heading 3 under heading 2
A.01
A.02
..
..

Heading 3 under separate heading 2
B.01
B.02
..
B.30
In other words, for every new heading 3 under heading 2 It
need the Alphabet to increment. Could anyone please help
me out. Thanks

instructions on how to correctly set up outline numbering. Note that outline
numbering can include unnumbered levels used for restarting numbering. If
Heading 2 is in effect your top-level "numbered" style, then it would be
Level 1. From your description, it appears that Heading 2 may be numbered A,
B, C; if so, then just select that numbering format for Level 1, with 01,
02, 03 for Level 2. If in fact Heading 2 is not numbered except by
implication, then you must still apply A, B, C numbering to that style (so
that the Level 2 style can inherit it), but format the number as Hidden (and
choose "(none)" for the character following the number).
