alpha query

I'm running a basic query. One of the fields I have, has
numeric and alpha values. I want the query to only return
the alpha values and not the numeric or any value that has
a numberic value in it for example A1..would need to be
left out. Would it be "like <> *#?...not sure..thanx

Close:

NOT LIKE "*#*"
