I need to make and update alphabetical lists is there an
auto program I can use?

Just place the list in a Word document, one item per paragraph (that
is, press Enter at the end of each item -- but DO NOT press Enter
twice to make "blank spaces" between items). To alphabetize the list,
go to the Table menu and select Sort. It doesn't matter that the items
aren't in a table.
