Already In Use

Greetings Everyone,

When trying to open my "Word" application, I get the message cannot
open because "Word" is already in use. When I received the message, I
had just finished trying to use the "shared folder" feature in
Parallels Desktop. I deleted the user folder that I had added thinking
that this might be the problem. Still the same message. I have
received this message in the past, I re-booted and eventually I was
able to open the application.

I am sure that the application is not loaded on any other computer, I
am the exclusive user. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening.

Thanks in advance

What that means is A file named 'Word' is already in use.

Something on your system has a file locked that it shouldn't have.

Try running Disk Utility and doing a Repair Permissions.

Hope this helps
