Alt+Mouse Select - Which Does It Do?

B

Brian

I just installed Office 2003. In previous Word versions, if I held down
the Alt key and dragged the mouse, it would select a vertical block of
text. With 2003, it cannot decide if I'm selecting text or selecting
something to send to the Research task pane. How do I control the
behavior?

Hi Brian,

If you hold the alt key and drag you get the rectangular
block selection, the research task pane search is alt+click
(and Ctrl+Shift+O) and if you click at the end of the drag
selection while the Alt key is held the Task Pane will popup.
