Alt+Tab will not work

I can not alt+tab in word 97 to toggle between 2
documents. Any help would be appreciated.I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling to different folder to no
avail

Hi Alice,

Alt+Tab works like that only in Word 2000 and later. In Word 97
you're pretty well stuck with the built-in "Next Window" shortcut
of CTRL+F6

(When Word 2000 was first released, many Word 97 users -- myself
included -- found the Alt+Tab document-switch feature annoying
rather than convenient, and Word 2002 added an option to disable
it. This is the first I've heard of a '97 user craving it.)
