Alter Text in 900 cell entries

I need to change text from "A" to "B" as shown below in about 900 cell
entries in excel 2000 ver (9.0.8961 SP-3) Suggestions please!!!

A: 21071303129W300
B: 21/07-13-031-29W3/0

The ingredients for the solution are LEFT, RIGHT, MID and the & (the
concatenation operator)
