Altering/Converting/Morphing a shape

I have structured quite a complex page with many tabs and shapes on each tab.

I now want to improve the overall presentation and need to change the shapes
to something else I have created. Each shape has links to documents and the
like and I cannot delete the shape and insert a new one as this will take
forever.

Can someone please help me with a method where I can use one shape and
"morph"/"convert"/"modify"/"change" my current shape to that shape, even if
only a different shape from the library?
