Alternate shading of rows on a form

G

Glenn Suggs

I know I've seen how to do this somewhere but I can't remember where. I need
to have every "other" row shaded on a (sub) form so as to make the end result
easier for the user to read. This can also be done on reports (archaic
greenbar?) but I'm needing to set up a form for this. Does anyone know the
process?
Thanks in advance,

Access 2002 or newer?
See
http://www.lebans.com
specifically:
http://www.lebans.com/conditionalformatting.htm
You can down load a sample database that includes various uses for
shaded lines, including continuous form alternating lines and
highlighting the selected line.

And also look at:
http://www.lebans.com/alternatecolordetailsection.htm

For a report it's different and much simpler.

And if you happen to be working with A2007, it's even easier.

The (detail?) section has a property for AlternateBackColor.
Just set the property to the color you want.
